This ministry equips young people today to be godly leaders tomorrow. The ministry is dedicated to providing spiritual life skills for youth from Pre-K through High School. The spiritual life skills include academic, personal, leadership, career and physical development. To that end, we will partner with parents/guardians to complement and augment the teachings that our youth receive. Starting January 2011, Youth Church will be held on the fourth Sunday.
What's New - Free tutoring is available at BGC for students in all grades, each Wednesday evening in the Nursery Class Room. Tutors are available from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Contact the Youth Ministry Office to volunteer or obtain additional information. Also see our Tutoring Section listed on this page.
In 2011 we continue Youth Emphasis Sunday each first Sunday and Youth Church on each fourth sunday of the month.
This allows the youth members of Baptist Grove Church an opportunity to utilize and enhance their God-given gifts in a worship setting. Youth Church also gives the adult church members the opportunity to encourage the youth, supervise their worship service, and teach the youth during their worship time.
Members are encouraged to volunteer to take the attendance of the youth, supervision of their worship service and teaching of young children during Youth Church worship service.
During the summer months, a Youth Summer Bible Study Fellowship is established for the study of God’s Word and the opportunity for Christ centered book clubs. See the "Message From The Hill" for more details.
Please contact Rev. Anthony Vickers, Interim Youth Ministry Director at 787-4528 extension 223.
AWANA
AWANA is an international, Bible-centered children's and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training for students in pre-school through high school. The acronym, AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. The goal is to equip churches to reach kids, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Your contacts are: Rev. Anthony A. Vickers and Faye Minor-Hicks.
Today, more than 18,000 U.S. churches host AWANA in the U.S. and internationally.
